The last post for October is of course about Halloween! The girls were beyond excited for Halloween and it couldn't come soon enough for them. Despite knowing what they wanted to dress up as back in August, I still found myself pulling a few late nights completing their costumes. Zac's was thankfully borrowed from a friend.
So, without further adieu, I present Katelyn as Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony,
Heather as Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony,
And Zac as an alligator, although the girls kept calling him Spike (the dragon) from My Little Pony.
On Halloween, we went to a carnival at the Rec Center and got to meet Elsa, Baymax, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, as well as play fun games. We spent the rest of the night hitting up the neighborhood and the girls made out like bandits. Although we rehearsed what to say, the girls would knock on the door, wait patiently for the door to open, then just stand there. I had to yell from the sidewalk, "Say trick or treat" the whole night. You would think they would learn. They're shy, but people still loved them and loaded their buckets. Thank goodness for the mom-tax.
