Heather Had a Birthday!

Heather turned 4 in July!  As usual, we celebrated big and she had a fun birthday!  On her special day, she requested McDonald's for lunch, so off we went!  Later that night, we had some family over and were lucky to have cousins in town to join us.
Recently, Heather has been obsessed with Tinkerbell and was constantly wearing a Tinkerbell dress that was way too small.  Her present from mom and dad was an obvious choice.  And then of course, she wanted a Tinkerbell birthday party.  We delivered invitations and had to leave quite a few on porches, which made me nervous, so we weren't sure what to expect for the party.
However, the morning of the party was full of excitement.
Heather had a great turnout with friends!  We started by decorating stars for the "Pin the Star on Tinkerbell's Wand" game.  We then played some flower ring toss using milk jugs and painter's sticks.
We also played a "Rosetta's Garden" party by picking flowers made of skewers and foam paper.  Each flower had a number on the back which corresponded with an activity the kids had to complete.  All the activities were fairy themes, such as having a snowball fight with Periwinkle's snow and a sword fight to help Zarina fight the pirates.
We came inside to cool off and played a "Hide the Ring from Tinkerbell" game.  The ring was on a string and the kids had to pass along the string while the person in the middle guessed who had it.
We couldn't have a party without cake!  I think my cake decorating skills are getting better with each birthday, maybe.  It's not exactly what I imagined, but Heather loved it, and that is what matters!
Heather was spoiled with presents and she was so thankful for the gifts!  Each child left with a goodie bag along with a wand made of the same foam paper from the garden flowers and a dowel.
Heather is growing up and she is so proud to be 4!  She is still our spunky, princess loving girl and we love her deeply!  Happy birthday, beautiful girl!
