The Tail End

My parents came for a quick visit last week and it was everything but relaxing.  My dad patched up a wall, spent SEVERAL hours over the course of 2 days picking apples from our trees, and reorganized my garage, all while my mom chased after the kids and kept Zac out of trouble.

My dad said he had never picked apples before, so I made sure he got his fill!  Check that off the bucket list!  He probably never wants to look at an apple for awhile.  But for now, all the apples from the tops of the trees are picked, because I couldn't do that by myself with the kiddos running wild below.
Zac now spends his days going from one end of the house to the other.  And recently he learned to pull himself up on things.  This kid never ceases to amaze me.
We took a break from apple picking to enjoy an early birthday dinner celebration.  My parents took us to Texas Roadhouse, and after missing lunch that day due to the many projects, we quickly went from empty to full, or maybe overflowing.  But every bite was worth it.  Love that place!
My parents helped the girls get a little gift for me!  Can't go wrong with chocolate!  And they each had to give me their own box, so it was a double win!  We attempted some pictures before my parents had to leave, and well, these wiggly worms had way too much energy!  Hah!
We loved having them visit and are thankful for them running to near exhaustion on our behalf.  They should be the ones taking home the boxes of chocolates!
